Ambrose does have a data wafer in his inventory, but it might very well be filled with some of his own research data. He will delete anything he can part with to make room and then fill the rest with what he can from the ships computers.

Do any of the other 7 human names mean anything to him? (like his wife for instance... guessing not but that is one his mind)

By now the lab section is probably close to being depressurized... "hey Cal, I've got all the data saved off that I can... the lab section should be close to being depressurized now, lets start moving down there"

The wafer he has uses a imperial style port, not Droyne, and being a Cr 5 storage device, it would probably take boxes of wafers to hold everything. He can transfer some of the data over wireless to his handcomp and then to the wafer.

None are is wife, he does have memories of some people, as well as the Droyne; outside of the Guild Droyne, most of the Droyne were agreeable sorts, if not having much personality (esp the workers).

OK. He'll grab all the data he can and then bonk Cal on the arm and say "Let's go check out the Lab area" and then head that way.

Could cal and Ambrose transmit the data files to the Duneyr?

OoC: Yes, they could try; could also upload a nasty virus to the Duneyr from the Droyne security system if there is not permissions set right. Best bet is to find the copies, probably on some sort of data crystals or external drives. The lab would be a good place to start. If no-one else mentions it, Yejide would notice that stopping some bio-weapon usage, would be a good propaganda coup against the Guild Droyne, a notch on the belt for prestige for the crew.

After pooping a little ( Thanks Ambrose ) " Er, yep of course Ambrose. Lab yes, Let's go"

Secretly on some level Cal wants to see what's behind sliding door number 1...

So are you guys going to the lab down through the cargo deck, or back through the staterooms to the forward airlock?

I think going through the cargo deck would be quicker, so that way

Ambrose and Cal climbing down through the creepy ship's interior to the cargo deck, the dim red emergency lighting like the glow from hell's fire. They can feel the inertial dampers kicking in as the crew outside put the Cruiser under tow to a more stable position above the big moon's surface.

The lab area has a simple hatchway similar to the rest of the ship's interior fittings, passing through a airlock into the lab, they see the large room is filled with pipes, pumps, gauges, gas tanks and large vats of half-frozen biotic sludge. This is definitely the last place to engage in a firefight aboard the ship due to the risk of explosion or noxious chemical spills. There is a slight register of chlorine in the air, their suits air-safety sensors registering it, which comes from what appears to be a corrosion leak in the side of a tank of sodium hypochlorite, over which a puddle of the chemical has formed.

The ceiling height is 9 meters, along the walls are built greenhouses, nine of them with a metal frame "fire escape" style stairs and walkways to them. Most have been burned, it's difficult to say how, it would take a careful investigation to tell what happened. At the top level on the port side, inside the greenhouse (marked by the red x) are rows of withered plants, killed by the subzero temperature. A body of a Droyne of their drone caste also lies with trowel still in hand, their body a ruin of cruelly twisted limbs and a horrific facial expression, almost as if they had died in spasms of laughter. The only other thing of note is some sort of polythene tent set up over one of the potting beds, connected to several small gas cylinders (ammonia, carbon dioxide and methane). The tent has been torn open, exposing a shrunken thing in a state of very advanced decomposition. Looking something like a head-sized coconut that has collapsed into itself, with oddly shaped tendrils that might be a rind or stalk. This can all be seen looking in through the glass like material.

Are there any computer terminals in here?

"Ok Ambrose this looks like a job for a scientist, preferably a chemist. What's your plan?"

Ambrose will take a moment to study the lab equipment. Any clues as to what they were studying here? I'm assuming a relationship to the Chlorine triflouride research.
