"Executive Officer, Arriving." The computer announced as Kuerzu stepped across the threshold to the ship. "Can't turn that off can we?" He asks to no one in particular.

The night passes uneventfully afterwards, and the crew of the Rover awakens aboard to the smell of fresh coffee ...

Hidalgo, watching a tri-vee, finds a program about Scouts, which seems mildly relevant for some reason:

The Scout Corps
The scouts are tasked with three main duties: Exploration, Reconnaissance, and Security. Each wave of colonization has been preceded by a wave of exploration, today, the explored (most heavily settled) sphere is around twenty to twenty five light years, where there are over a hundred and ten star systems, when doubled to fifty light years, the number grows to 1400 star systems. Manned and unmanned probes are used, for at five times 50lys, to 250 light years, the number grows to 260,000 star systems; exponentially increasing the amount in that actually surveillance coverage, and never control, could ever even be reached. The knowledge is in actually going there; it is a Schrödinger’s universe, where observation can change everything, and the more eyes to see it, the better.

Reconnaissance, if there was a threat, which can come from any direction at any time, the Scout Corps are the ones to see and recognize that threat. Interstellar Space Forces would be strung out too thinly to actually be able to perform the needed recon functionally.

Security, due to history, humanity has an inhibition of the military doing law enforcement, this means that the law enforcement function has fallen to the Scouts.

Quezar reports back to the ship. Greeting everyone he heads down to engineering with his 'new' assistant. Giving him the grand tour Quezar sets about making sure the ship is ready to answer the helm.

Kuerzu grumbled as he stepped into the commons, likely the last, or very near, to arrive. He didn't drink coffee, no did he eat breakfast really. He also wasn't much of a morning person. "Do we have an estimate on a departure time? I got a bad feeling at the office. Probably nothing, but I'd feel better away from here." He says as he gets a glass of water, more to have something in his hands than anything.

Unless something happens, engineering is ready and we will have the squirrels start running their wheels around. The shift to our gophers and "tunnel" our way through hyperspace.

Sure, except I don't want to push the game along harder than I have, it is not like you can't come back here again anyways. Plus there is a giant alien city on the planet to explore as well.

[ooc] Looks good, accurate jump! :)

Classic does it a little different, you only roll if you have unrefined fuel, damage to the jump drive, or jumping within the 10 or 100 diameter limit of a planet. I was going to add on to that to make Nav skill a little more relevant, of the time in jump being 1d6+1 days minus the Nav skill number, so if you want to roll that you can.
