It would be good to get another player. Always happy for more players, it's a shame about Rojo he came up with some good posts.

Finally.

Easter wishes all, keep safe, keep well
Yeah, Rojo posted well. Pity to lose him.

It is a shame about Rojo, and every other player that has not worked out, I can't make everyone happy, I guess.
I think I must take some responsibility for Rojo dropping out - I took too direct an approach, not the right style for him.

"Easter Wishes" to those as wants 'em :)

Query: Does hiring a broker reduce the price of the cargo on offer? If so we might be able to buy the gems and a couple of other lots.

Yes, just remember their fees. Are you also figuring in the fee given by Nigel? I figured Zhenya would have contacted Nigel, unless she is not wanting to find out about the agents that kidnapped her. Which killing them could be bad for the whole crew, while the Czernobog does have the firepower, discretion might serve better if one wants to return, as the Czern' lacks the authority to prosecute.

Yes, Zhenya contacted Nigel to help with brokerage.

Remind me, what was the fee? I thought we were just earning our repairs....

The broker fees are about half of the adjustment they make to the price ( depending on which end of the table they apply the modifier to ), so always worth it. After the full Gem lot we had a bit over 300k. The broker edge applied to the gems and the firearms/cybernetics might allow us to get all three.

Zhenya did want the agents ID - though not to kill them. They become useless then. Anyway, they are only the operatives, not the controllers. Capture and interrogate? Probably not, no, but the thought was tempting. ;)

He offered 128MCr in repairs, and 2MCr, for the 1.3 Billion in Iridium. I just didn't know if you had already figured the 2MCr into your funds. You can deal with the agents as your like, they are leaving on a shuttle soon-ish. The only caveat is that Zhenya the Diplomat would know Vijaya would take a dim view on what would appear to be open assassination in their spacelanes. Huli's story of "Murder at the Power Plant" is lurid, except also rather meaningless hyperbole, considering it was a war zone.

"It is as though in the middle of a chess tournament one competitor should suddenly begin screaming that the other is guilty of arson or bigamy. The point that is really at issue remains untouched.”
― George Orwell, Homage to Catalonia

Minimum the Czernobog would be banned from their space. The Vijayans have no love for the Imperials, at the same time they are motivated to keep order in their spacelanes.

Well, with the 2MCr we can afford what we like :D

Zhenya isn't intending to openly strike at the Imps as they escape, knowing their identity will do for now. If they appear again we will know them.

Deal with the Imps as you will.

I was wondering about the 2MCr payment, due to seeing the account balance of: "New Balance: 6,259,953Cr" That's ok, go with that plus the 2MCr, I'm not interested into getting too bean counter-ish here anyways, it is now that you are fully paid, info given on the agents, and Nigel bids adieu.

Let's see if I've got this right:

The broker takes their percentage of the offered price, then applies the DM?

For the Gems: @6,600K. 20% = 1,320K, the DM -4 gives 70% making price 4,620K, total 5940K

[ If the 20% is of the final price ( which is a poor incentive for a broker :) ) it's 4620+924=5544 ]

I assume you've already done that for the sale of the silver and fertiliser.

If I've got it right I'll fill the hold later.

EDIT:

Can we roll for Admin on purchases?

Adding Admin on top of Broker? Yes, to a max DM of +4.

For the Gems, brokers fee is 1,320,000Cr (20%), which they reduce the price to 4,620,000Cr (70%); thus giving a total price of 5,940,000Cr. So you have that right.

I only applied the DM's from the rolls for the PO4 and Silver, not adding brokerage fees.

To simplify we'll hire a Broker 4 and not roll, buying every lot, and take the sale prices as they stand. Should fit all the lots in with 22dT left. We have lots of spice now.

Great, thank you for updating the accounts. :D

I will let the group roll that, vs myself as GM, I only did so to streamline the process; it is up to you whether you want to hire the broker or not. I also view tea as spice, which makes some sense.
